Hreðe

by Swain Wodening

Hreða was an Anglo-Saxon goddess mentioned by Bede for whom Hreðmonað (roughly March) was named for. Grimm feels her name Old High German hruod and Old Norse hroðr both which mean “glorious.” She would therefore seem to be a warrior goddess of some sort.
