SaintsThe Christic Triad - The Three SaintsThree saints or heroes are especially associated with the Mighty Christ. These are Zartus (Zoroaster), Jesus and Georgius (Saint George).Zartus is especially associated with wisdom, Jesus with having a selfless desire to help others and Georgius with having courage to defend the good against evil. SaintsThe three most venerated saints1. Saint Zartus the Wise Zartus or Zoroaster is the Philosopher Saint - the one who who has knowledge of the cosmos and can discern the best ethical world-view and give to us the best religion. Zartus is the foremost teacher of Good Moral Vision. 2. Saint Jesus the Good Jesus is the Compassionate Saint - the one who sees our real human nature and needs and gives this the highest value regardless of human-manufactured regulations and understandings which contradict it. Zorochristians see Jesus' voluntary suffering on the cross as a sign of his compassion. We don't believe that the historic person of Jesus can be considered a scapegoat for all the sins of the world. Rather his action was a demonstration of how the eternal Christ takes on the burden of counteracting the sins of the fallible. 3. Saint George the Brave Saint George is the Brave Saint. He is the one who will fight for the cause of good and right and never desert it whether he has the strength to prevail, or is overcome and put to a torturous death. Other SaintsWe recognize many other good people as saints worthy of emulation.Saviour KingsWe recognise potential 'saviour kings' who have come before and who may come again. In particular we recognise Saint Alfred as a good king of the Saxon English who we look to to come again to be our king. Of course he will not come as the same physical person, but rather we look for the spirit-ideal which animated him to enter into a living person in our own age to save the Saxon people and lead them to well-being. Similarly we recognise the ancient Persian King Cyrus as a good world king, and look to his spiritual descendant (sometimes called 'Cyrusson') to come to lead the people of the world against the evil powers and be installed as a good world ruler. The Saxons have a duty to provide a division of such a world army, potentially containing divisions from all the peoples of the world, under the overall command of Cyrusson. A friendly rivalry between these different divisions to become the most capable and effective is in order and we have faith that the Saxons will provide one of the best. It is important to understand that saviour kings can only achieve power and glory when the conditions are right for them. They need to find people who are ready to follow them and have the capabilities that are necessary to be good soldiers in their army, Thus one of the agendas of Anglochristianity is to prepare people to be 'Soldiers of the Good King Alfred', to defend and promote the interests of Saxons in particular, but also to be a good ruler over all those coming under their influence.
