Heaven and Hell

We believe in Heaven and Hell - here on Earth.

An individual can be 'in Heaven' when all is going right for them and they are filled with life. They can also 'go through Hell' when things go wrong and they are torn apart.

Whether a person is in a private Heaven or Hell depends much on what is going on around them, the forces bearing down upon them, the pressures that others are exerting upon them. However the effect these forces have will also depend on the person - their particular character, their personality, and this is shaped by their history - what has gone on around them in the past and how they reacted to it.

Now the world that we each see is in a sense a private world that is created both by our own actions and by the actions of others. Thus to some extent we can choose what situations we get into, but also to a large degree we have no choice, it depends very much on what other people choose to do - what kind of situation they wish to create for us.

Thus this question of how each person chooses to behave is of the utmost importance - for it effects everybody around them and the world that we jointly create. Collectively we can create a heaven together or else a living hell.

Cosmology

The COSMOS is everything that exists - the fabric of space and soul and time and everything that moves within.

WEIRD - sometimes translated as 'Fate' - is what actually becomes. It is our individual and collective paths through Life.

ORLOG is our word for the character of the Cosmos - the primal law underpinning it - and the particular characteristics of all the phenomena within it. It is Orlog which determines what will become, based on our Deeds and what was there before.

DEEDS (or Karma) mean our actions and the effects that they have.

ARTA is our word for the TRUTH OF REALITY - which we distinguish from SIGHT which is how we individually see the world. It also refers to the idea of RIGHT ACTION - Deeds in accordance with Reality.

DARMA refers to what is good behaviour for us to follow. Christodinists base their DARMA on the principle of ARTA.

Christodin

CHRISTODIN is a name for our way of understanding what it is that sustains life and enables it to flourish. Christodin can be imagined as a person who works for the flourishing of life, and who will help us to flourish and enable others to flourish.

He can be imagined as a person with many personalities - each personality suited best to some particular task for the benefit of life. Our visions of these personalities may be termed Angels.

Christodin is our God. This means that we worship Him. We believe that worshipping Christodin is a good way of helping us to have better lives and to encourage us to act to the benefit of the rest of creation.

SATAN is a name to represent what it is that acts against the flourishing of Life. Satan may be imagined as a person who seeks to turn people away from acting for Good. Satan can be imagined as a person with many personalities.

PERSONALITIES OF CHRISTODIN

First among these personalities is Woden, the personality dedicated to gaining contact with and understanding of the nature of the world. Woden is considered the guiding personality of Christodin, and thus when we talk of Lord Woden, we consider this the same as talking of Christodin in his totality.

Second among these personalities is FreyIng, the personality dedicated to providing for all life.

Third among these personalities is Frigga, the personality that seeks to create good order in the internal sphere by building good connections between souls.

Fourth among these personalities is Tew, the personality that seeks to create good order for us in the external sphere.

The Four Major Personalities listed above may be referred to as the Archangels of AIR, FIRE, EARTH and WATER respectively.

Important also is Thor, who directs his energies with force to make beneficial changes in the external sphere.

Important also is Freya, who directs her energies to beneficial effect in the internal sphere.

Important also is Weyland, who is able to craft instruments in the external sphere.

Important also is Balder, who is full of self-sacrificing Love.

Christodin has other personalities also.

Each personality of Christodin can send forth an angel so that Christodin may appear as many. Yet Christodin is One.

We also recognise saints who are the angels of persons who were once alive on earth. In the memory of our saints we see also personalities of Christodin.
