Back GOD, God-faces and spirit-forms 3rd Aug 2005

GOD

We acknowledge GOD, the God of the Universe, who is Master of everything.

GOD has a purpose for his creatures, which is to be fully alive. He has provided us with a body in the material world, and a soul in the living world, and a spirit which can cause movement both of the soul and of the body. GOD has provided energies which take us nearer to His purpose, and energies which take us further from his purpose. It is up to us to make best use of the gifts we have been given. However GOD has provided a world in which there is a fine balance between the forces of Good and Evil so that we are tested to our full capacities.

GOD has agency, and personality, and spirit which encompasses all possible forms of agency, personality and spirit. However at any time we can turn out attention to particular aspects of GOD, or as we can say different faces of GOD. These faces of GOD which have personality as He does, but which are not complete, we call GOD-faces or just 'Gods'.

GOD has a Spirit which may reverberate in all kinds of energies - or forms. These spirit-forms can come to us also, or stay outside of us. If they come to us we can say we are 'filled' or 'possessed' by a spirit, if they stay outside then we may talk of angels or demons or elves.

(added comment: since the above was first written we have started using the term 'Angel' where previously we talked of 'Gods' - this change has been reflected below)

The Angels

CHRIST - The Angel who leads us to God
Christ wishes that whatever a person's need it shall be provided. Christ is Lord of Heaven. His emblem is the cross.

SATAN THE DEVIL - The Angel or Demon who leads us away from God
Satan is Lord of Hell. His emblems are the emblems of black magic.

BALDER - The Angel of Self-less Love

SORATH - The Angel of Self-less Hate
Sorath is the opposite of Balder, and desires our suffering and torment.

LUCIFER - The Angel of Selfish Power
Lucifer seeks to bring all beings under his direct control. Lucifer has two Elves to help him. The Elf of Materialism, and the Elf of Mysticism. The Elf of Materialism encourages people to close their hearts to the spirit of others and see them instead as blind beasts or inanimate objects to be manipulated. The Elf of Mysticism encourages people to withdraw from connection with others into their own private mystical world.

The emblems of Lucifer include the Sun, the flaming torch, the falcon and the phoenix, the pyramid, and the all-seeing eye.

TEW - The Angel of Order
Tew works to create Good Order in the world. He is the Keeper of Justice, and works to see that all concerns are fairly considered. When good order breaks down then a struggle is needed to restore it. Thus he is also Angel of War.The emblem of Tew is the sword.

WODEN - The Angel of Wisdom
The emblems of Woden are the ring and the spear.

FRIGGA - The Angel of Maternal Provision
The emblems of Frigga include the fish, a symbol of fertility, and the mistletoe.

THOR - The Angel of Practical Provision
His emblem is the hammer.
