HeathendomTiewists value Heathendom, which is social life ordered on a small scale, and hence at a human scale where it is easier for people to grasp the whole project of living, and hence to manage their own affairs and also to be more easily grounded in reality. While large-scale societies have their positive sides, we believe that it is the small-scale heathen society which provides the conditions for the re-vitalization of human culture, and thus the project of human life as a whole will fail if heathendom is entirely lost. Tiewists believe in the benefit of an ongoing balance of power and dialogue between giant and heathen societies. However at the present time it is the Heathen society which is under threat, and so the focus of our attention. ChristendomWhile Tiewists regard Heathendom as the essential mother of human life, we also value Christendom which harnesses the best of human motivation and capability towards the ultimate good. While there is an opposition between Heathendom and Christendom , we believe the best of life comes from interaction between the two. Where Heathendom triumphs over Christendom, then life can continue but there is an excess of war and cruelty and the highest vision for Man cannot be achieved. Where Christendom attempts to smother Heathendom this leads to a loss of vitality, and ultimately the death of Christendom itself. In present times we see the loss of Heathendom among the majority, and Christendom also dying along with it. This is leaving the world at the mercy of the few remaining Heathens, and these have no good intention to the rest of us. |
