Heroic KingsWe recognise potential 'heroic kings' who have come before and who may come again.Great King AlfredIn particular we recognise the Great King Alfred as a good king of the Saxon English who we look to to come again to be our king. Of course he will not come as the same physical person, but rather we look for the spirit-ideal which animated him to enter into a living person in our own age to save the Saxon people and lead them to well-being.It is important to understand that saviour kings can only achieve power and glory when the conditions are right for them. They need to find people who are ready to follow them and have the capabilities that are necessary to be good soldiers in their army, Thus one of the agendas of Tiewism is to prepare people to be 'Soldiers of the Good King Alfred', to defend and promote the interests of Saxons in particular, but also to be a good ruler over all those coming under their influence. We regard Alfred the Great as a heroic king, and in a sense still the first of the kings of the Saxons (first in the sense of most worthy of being remembered, rather than necessarily historically first). King CyrusWe also recognise the ancient Persian King Cyrus as a good world king, and look to his spiritual descendant (sometimes called 'Cyrusson') to come to lead the people of the world against the evil powers and be installed as a good world ruler. The Saxons have a duty to provide a division of such a world army, potentially containing divisions from all the peoples of the world, under the overall command of Cyrusson. A friendly rivalry between these different divisions to become the most capable and effective is in order and we have faith that the Saxons will provide one of the best. |
