About Saxon Clubs

What is a Saxon Club?

A Saxon Club is a straightforward, non-political way for people identifying as Saxon English to celebrate their identity together.

And perhaps such a club will go further and build a community of people that helps its members with the problems of life and can form work teams to take on tasks that need doing.

And we hope the communities built by such clubs will work together with good people of other communities whether similar or different from themselves.

How does a Saxon Club work?

Well that is still to be worked out .....

We need lots of people to have a go at starting one - and by trial and error we will find out what works!

However as a pointer we think their needs to be a celebrating of the Old English period of our history - the 'Anglo-Saxon' period. It is not that we want to live in the past, but this is the origins of the Saxon English of today and we need to know our origins.
